Ingredients (always vegan + always conflict free)
Ingredientstruly ethical chocolate (cocoa mass, cocoa butter, vegan sugar, soy lecithin, vanilla), organic vegan fair trade evaporated cane juice sugar, organic coconut milk, organic coconut oil, organic cardamom, cream of tartar, vanilla, sea salt. Decoration: housemade organic and fair-trade white chocolate (organic cocoa butter, organic vegan sugar, organic coconut milk powder, gum acacia, tapioca maltodextrin, vanilla bean, sea salt, soy lecithin, natural flavor), natural vegetable-derived food coloring.
We sell so many caramel flavors that there’s really no reason to put these online, except that our manager/chocolatier/girl genius Kate loves them and is sad whenever we’re out of them so we keep making them. I want to switch these to a sumac / cardamom caramel with foraged sumac, but we’re still fiddling with that recipe, so enjoy these while you can! This plan, of sullying up the pure cardamom caramel with weirdo sumac—don’t talk about it to Kate, ok? She’s not such a fan of it, but I’m trying to incorporate local elements into more of our chocolates. Anyway, there’s no reason to be telling you all this right now.
This is a subtle caramel, fragrant with soft spice and mystery.

I am in awe of the cardamom caramel. Complete, inexplicable, infinite awe. It’s romantic, even, as chocolates go. This caramel whispered in my ear and took my hand softly. This caramel took me on grandiose vacations. We looked at inactive volcanos together. We laughed in the streets. This caramel made charming jokes to strangers. It made me want to be a better person. I never ever wanted this caramel to end, and I am at a loss to really describe it any better than that. The cardamom caramel was unassuming to me, before I spent time with it. But some loves are just like that. They really sneak up on you.
